What is in it
Long sweeping strokes dominate — mane and tail take up more of most pages than the horse does. There are twelve head studies, a set of running horses where the legs cross into pattern, and three pages of horse-and-foal.
How it colours
The flowing lines want a colour that changes along their length, which is easy with pencils and awkward with markers. Slower than it looks because so few areas are enclosed.
