What is collected

Browsing this site requires no account and sets no analytics cookies. Standard server logs are kept by the host, as for any website — IP address, browser and page requested — used for security and diagnosing faults.

Buying a PDF

Payments are handled by a third-party payment processor acting as merchant of record. They take your email and payment details directly; this site never sees or stores a card number. Your email is used to deliver the download and to send a receipt, and for nothing else unless you separately ask to hear about new books.

Buying a paperback

Paperback links go to Amazon, where their privacy policy applies and not this one. This site receives nothing about you from Amazon beyond aggregate sales figures.

Advertising

If advertising is shown here it will be supplied by Google AdSense, which uses cookies to serve and measure ads. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings. In the EEA and UK a consent notice appears before any advertising cookie is set, and declining leaves the site fully working.

Your rights

Under UK and EU GDPR you may ask what personal data is held about you, and ask for it to be corrected or erased. In practice that is your purchase record and nothing else. Write to [email protected].
